Thermoforming is the process of heating up a plastic material, such as solid surface, acrylic or polyethylene, to a pliable state. Once heated in our oven to a high-enough temperature that permits stretching and mold-ability we form the material into its specific shape utilizing a mold. Once secured on our mold, we let it cool to its finished shape. Once cooled, the material will be frozen in its newly formed shape.
Thermoforming is widely used when a material has to conform to a certain shape. And Omega has one of the largest thermoforming ovens in the industry, allowing it to produce both large and small scale projects.
